I’ve been a fan of Tegan & Sara’s for years. Their new album Heartthrob out last week and I’ve had it on repeat ever since. If you’re a fan of their previous work, this album is a little older, a little more lyrically deliberate (I know, I know, I know), and a little poppier. Really, it feels like a natural evolution–an upbeat blend of of 80s synths, catchy musical phrases and well, there are still repeated chord patterns and three-peated words, but what would a good T&S album be without it?
