Austin Kleon is definitely one of the coolest people I’ve never met. He’s a writer, who draws. His first book Steal Like An Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative is a great, quick read full of truths about creativity like Don’t wait until you know who you are to get started and Be Nice (the world is a small town). Another book, Show Your Work: 10 Ways to Share Your Work and Get Discovered came out earlier this year and includes tips like Think progress, not product and Share something small every day. Basically, he’s a cool guy who not only thinks creativity is for everyone but really gets it; he does great, incredibly creative work and talks eloquently and realistically as well.

I missed the SXSW conference this year, but apparently I didn’t miss Austin’s portion. Check it out, followed by another presentation he did for Creative Mornings Austin last year. You’re gonna like this guy.
