Happy New Year, friends!
There is something about a new year that feels like a clean slate. Instead of transitioning from Tuesday to Wednesday with the flick of a clock, we leave Tuesday in the lurch taking the blame for every thing the new year will make irrelevant. I love the idea of the clean slate; the fresh start, blank page, a sunrise, even if it’s only an illusion.
A friend of mine posted a great line from Zora Neale Hurston’s 1937 book Their Eyes Were Watching God: “There are years that ask questions and years that answer.”
I wonder what this year will be.
