BOOK DESIGN REDUX

favorites: book cover design

One of my favorite things to post are new or rediscovered book cover designs. I’m unabashedly influenced to try new authors and different/new/intimidating types of narrative if the book design is intriguing. I read a lot, and there are definitely worse things I could judge by, plus, these guys win. These are a few of my favorites…

1. Vladimir Nabokov – Speak, Memory (1999, Designed by: Michael Bierut)
2. Sloane Crosley – I Was Told There’d Be Cake (2008, Designed by: Ben Gibson)
3. Mark Lindquist – The King of Methlehem (2008, Designed by: Christopher Brand)
4. Nicholas Carr – The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains (2010, Designed by: Ben Wiseman)
5. Tom Rachman – The Imperfectionists (2011, Designed by: Roberto deVicq)
6. Nathan Englander – For the Relief of Unbearable Urges (2000, Designed by: Helen Yentus)
